What’s your sector focus at Avocet and why do you like it?
I am dedicated to working with construction professionals within Main Contractors and Developer Companies from growing Small Businesses to Larger National and International organisations.
What excites you about the future for the construction sector?
Our industry leaves a lasting impact on our environment and the quality of our lives – in terms of the provision of housing, education, healthcare and work opportunities to name a few – this is exciting in itself.
I am fascinated with how buildings and infrastructure is planned, constructed and maintained and the team work involved to make the projects successful. I am very excited about how new technologies are being embraced to make the industry more environmentally and socially responsible and how new skills and products will result. For an industry that has been very traditional for so long we are entering an exciting period that’s for certain.
In your opinion, what makes Avocet different?
We steer our own ship – which makes us both flexible and accountable to our customers.
As we have decades served in the industry – I see this as a testament to the relationships we have built and maintained over this period. We are delivery focussed rather than sales focussed, we look for the outcome for the client and candidate first always not the fee.
